Currently in Jakarta, legislators are working to try and banish miniskirts from the wardrobes of female House members. This initiative was brought about by the large number of rapes that have occurred against female lawmakers. The side against the skirts tried to seek legitimacy through two female member House members who are former fashionistas.

The ludicrous efforts of these house members have effectively worked to villainize rape victims and has found distaste with the global movement called the Slut Walk
This April 3rd will mark the one year anniversary of the global movement entitled the “Slut Walk”. This walk began in Toronto, Canada. Basically it served as a unification event for women to come together to fight the “slut-ification” of a woman’s appearance. The walk has occurred in Europe, Asia, New Zealand and many major U.S. cities (including Ashville)
