I found a few articles about K-Pop entering North Korea. It seems songs and movies are either being smuggled into the North or blasted as propaganda across the DMZ via loudspeakers. One article said that South Korean movies and music are more popular than North Korean ones. I wonder how strong this link from the South to the North truly is. Is it enough to change North Koreans’ perspectives of the South? Or to incite them to flee the North? Does the perception in the South that K-Pop is being widely accepted in the North fuel a sort of national pride that indirectly stalls the unification process?
