Today, China keeps being the only country which continues to trade organs from executed prisoners. International organizations such as the World Medical Association and the World Health Organization consider the sale of human organs inhumane and unethical. The increased demand in human organs and specially
kidneys (for China) has been a good enough reason for the “system” to work.
Obviously, capital punishment is legal in China, but according to Amnesty International researcher, Arlette Leduguie, Chinese citizens are executed for minimal reasons and that is a way of the government promoting the illegal human organ trade. It is very hard though to prove a case like this one. The government will deny any accusations by simply saying that executions are performed because of serious crimes and that they (China) are the only ones able to determine what it is a minimal crime and what is not. Therefore, in order for this system to stop, any corruption in the government must be stopped first.
