Today it is common practice for large companies to move production from the core to the periphery in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The conditions of the factories and their labor practices lead to companies greenwashing in order to protect their reputations. Apple is one of the many companies guilty of greenwashing, but has recently been exposed due to incidents at Foxconn factories in China, which is one of their main producers. Foxconn is a Taiwanese owned factory and the world’s largest producer of electronics.The infrastructure of Foxconn factories has negatively affected workers in the United States and China, as well as Apple and Foxconn’s reputations.
